The lady owner was friendly and helpful, recommending a local pub for a Sunday lunch and a pub to watch the England match. The meal we had was excellent and a good find. It was at The Royalty on York Gate, about 2 miles from the B & B. Good beer and the biggest Yorkshire Pudding I've ever had. The B & B itself is located on the side of a hill with stunning views over the Wharf Valley. There is a Country Park close by (Chevin Country Park) for walks and rambles, and the town of Otley (with a Sainsbury's and Waitrose) is about 1.5 miles away. We went to Harewood House and the Emmerdale Village Set while we were there -both 20 minutes away. The accommodation is in two blocks. We stayed in room 11, which was part of a courtyard development.. The room was a family room and roomy and comfortable, with a large wet room comprising walk in shower toilet and sink. Everything was clean, well maintained and the room was warm (the weather was unseasonably chilly), with the usual drinks making facilities and a small table to eat meals at if needed. You could park your car right next to the accommodation so no long walk to get to your room. Breakfast was taken in the main building which was a short uphill walk from our room. Nothing revolutionary, just cereal, juice and a hot and wholesome English (with a vegetarian option if preferred). You could have a 'breakfast basket' in your room if preferred.

It was gorgeous, photos don’t do it justice, clean and spacious, we basically had the whole place as a wedding party so the courtyard in the middle was a great communal space. The scenery is gorgeous. Nicky the owner could not have been more helpful, we were out in the morning but she made us a to go breakfast, I misplaced our key and she so kindly got up after midnight to get us the spare and was so pleasant when she did. She would’ve helped make our weekend special any way she couldn’t and I’d recommend the place so highly. The hotel is also not really close to anything which makes it perfect. So quiet at night apart from some moos and baas, loved it.

There is so much about this place that is fantastic. the staff are warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. the room was perfect with a comfy bed, en suite bathroom and a view overlooking the Dales. We returned from a night out in Otley and the room was cosy and warm when we got back in. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with a choice of fruit, cereal, juices, tea, coffee and full English. I opted for the latter which was superb, with good quality ingredients. My girlfriend is vegetarian and was catered for too. I would absolutely recommend and will happily stay here again next time I'm up north!

Fabulous location - 360° views of beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The room is huge! A small hallway for muddy boots and coats, very comfortable bed, lots of pillows, a sofa, a dining table + chairs, a dressing table and a hanging wardrobe. Big bathroom too, great shower, would be 10/10 perfect if hand basin had a mixer tap. Lots of parking. Very very quiet - zero vehicle traffic noise, zero human traffic noise. I highly recommend this place. Nicky was a lovely host, warm and friendly, her reception and the look of the place gave my short break a wonderful start.

An exceptionally warm and friendly welcome to a clean, tidy and well-run guest house. The rooms are spacious (without being cavernous), very clean and contain all the expected amenities. The view from the window and the outside balcony is exceptional. We particularly liked that all the bed linen and towels are spotlessly clean white and I have never slept as soundly on a bed that wasn't my own 🙂 A full English breakfast is available in front of a roaring log fire in the dining room and other breakfast options are available.
